Monastery Museum

A collection of articles used by the friars including books from the 1700’s and Bibles in 12 languages. This Museum tells a story of the monastery building, the Franciscans, and Teutopolis which are all tightly intertwined. With over 30 rooms filled with articles seen in the late 1850's this is sure a sight to see.

Heartland Half Marathon & 5k
The Broken Arrow Road Runners (BARR) will host the 2nd Annual Heartland Half Marathon and 5K on Sept. 12th. Race will start at 7:30 am for both races at Effingham High School. 100% of proceeds of the race will go to benefit the Big Brothers/Big Sisters and TREC. The race travels thru Effingham and out by the cross. Race starts and ends @ EHS.

Corvette Funfest, held annually on Mid America Motorworks' 150 acre corporate campus, is one of the largest gatherings of corvette enthusiasts in the country. During the three-day celebration, more than 15,000 corvettes were displayed and over 45,000 enthusiats enjoyed the sights and seminars. An event highlight, the Saturday night concert, featuring "The Guess Who".
