Effingham County Community Out of the Darkness Walk

Effingham TREC Trails
This walk is a national awareness event for suicide prevention. By walking in the Out of the Darkness Community walks to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide prevention, you will be walking with thousands of people nationwide to raise money for AFSP's vital research and education programs to prevent suicide and save lives, increase national awareness about depression and suicide, advocate for mental health issues and assist survivors of suicide loss. The annual Illinois State Old-Time Fiddle Contest began in 1964 and has a long history of amazing fiddle players. The contestants are judged on their timing, ability, and overall tone.
