Fourth of July Celebration
A parade is held downtown starting at 6 p.m. at Maple and Temple and ending on Jefferson in downtown Effingham. Events, including live music, are held throughout the day at Hendlemeyer Park on South Fourth Street. A fireworks display begins at dusk.

12:30p.m. - 4:00p.m., Poker Run leaves at 11:00a.m., Hot Wing Judging at 3:30.
Burgers, Beer, and Bands(including Trash City Rockers & Dust and Bones). Other activities include Hot Wing Contest and Poker Run. All proceeds benefit the Effingham County Humane Society's new Animal Shelter.
